This Mother’s Day, we celebrated love through music, uniting poets with disabilities, visually impaired musicians, and young performers. Chuang Fu-Hua, despite her silence, spoke volumes using Morse code and assistive technology. Her composition, "Ocean of the Heart," was newly arranged and performed by the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of Hong Kong (MYO). Five of her poems were transformed into choral works by composer Yin Ng and performed by children and parent choirs. The concert also featured solo performances by differently-abled musicians Ding Yijie, Lee Hin, and Yang Enhua from the True Colors Symphony, reminding us that every inner light deserves to be seen and heard.
